Volume One & Two

  • Hi –
We can’t speak directly for Rick Browne. We only sell some of his DVDs. We also don’t know Mac’s Speed Shop nor do we eat very much barbecue. But, maybe on the day Rick was there, in his opinion he did have the best brisket. This isn’t a matter of fact of ‘accurate statements’, but rather of a persons opinion from what you indicated is a place that provides inconsistent quality. Maybe it was an especially good day.

  • There is a bbq store in Cornielus, NC, Mac’s Speed Shop, that advertises a quote from Rick Brown “best brisket I have ever had”. Is this an accurate statement and a true quote? I have been eating and cooking BBQ and brisket for over 40 years, have won our fair share of awards, and I cannot believe that any knowledgeable BBQ guru would make this statement, especially considering Mac’s poor reputation for quality and consistancy. Please comment. Thanks, TJ.
