All About TV, later called World:Comm, was a television series that ran on WNET-Channel 13 in New York City between 1992 and 1995. The series was executive produced by the television critic Steven H. Scheuer and Loomis Irish, Head of the Television and Radio Department at Brooklyn College.

Scheuer is a renowned film and television historian who in 2007 co-authored with his wife Alida Brill Scheuer, the “Pocket Guide to Collecting Movies on DVD.” Among his many other works, Scheuer edited “Movies on TV” (originally titled “TV Movie Almanac & Ratings”) which was published in 17 editions between 1958 and 1993 and was the first highly regarded comprehensive film review almanac.

Over a 4-year period more than 200 episodes of this series were produced with hundreds of panelists. This two DVD set selects ten of the best episodes from “All About TV” and “World:Comm” series.

Anyone interested in the evolving history of television will find these programs fascinating. They also provide a rich source of material for television and media historians.
